ELMeDa was created in summer 2007 as a pedagogical tool to be integrated in the teaching of the course "Revitalizing Languages" at the University of Toronto. I am part of a group of students here at U of T who are writing a small grammar for the Nigerian language of Esan; I forwarded this article to my group members and they were thrilled! Our native Esan speaker especially appreciated the info about language revitalization in her home country.
